Below are pictures of the jewelry created in the February bead contest. The jewelry was comprised partly of antique components used by Tribal women from Afghanistan who lived their lives on camels and in tents. These are parts and pieces of jewelry from the middle of the last century. Contestants chose from these components and added them to the kits provided.
WINNER!
This month's contest was amazing. The entrants showed wonderful creativity using the kit items as well as their choice of the antique Afghan artifacts. This was also the closest contest we have had when the voting was done. It came right down to the final vote to break the tie among all four entries. Since this was such a special contest we thought you would like to see all the entries as well as the winner.
WINNER! Amy Hobbs' entry is "Lost Treasures". She added the brass disc, toggle clasp, carnelian beads and yellow Swarovski crystals to the kit pieces.
