This month Wonders is holding an exciting bead contest. This time the jewelry will include antique components used by Tribal women from Afghanistan who live their lives on camels and in tents. The parts and pieces of jewelry are from the middle of the last century.
Contestants will choose from these components and add them to the kits provided. What a wonderful way to honor and celebrate the lives of women who live very differently from us!
RULES:
For February’s contest, contestants must register in person or on the telephone by February 5th. If we have 5 or more entries, the kits will be available for purchase ($15.00) starting February 6th. Entries must be received back in the shop by February 18th for judging, with the winner being announced in the March email newsletter. The winner will receive a $50.00 gift certificate for Wonders of the World Bead Shop.

FEBRUARY CLASSES
Wonders of the World
WHAT: Gemstone Folklore Class
Come and learn how to determine the metaphysical properties of minerals and gemstones. Taught by Pamela Barclay, owner of Wonders of the World. (The class cannot be held unless four or more people sign up by the day of the class.)
WHEN: Mon., February 20th, 6 PM to 8 PM (note change of day from Thursday to Monday)
PRICE: $15 (prepay at time of sign up in the Bead Shop. The class cannot be held unless four or more people sign up by the day of the class.)
